This 3-hour workshop style training explores culturally competent social work practice with men and boys involved in the child welfare system. This course teaches participants how various conceptions of masculinities lead to an increased risk of psychosocial problems in various male populations. It explores practice principles and theories that are applicable to practice with diverse groups of men and boys at risk, with a particular look at how conceptions of masculinities influences practice.
